Rob Hakenberg

Since I was a child my most favorite place was the great outdoors, heading into the forest, going up the mountains or hiking or paddling through canyons.

I’m born and raised in The Netherlands, but my passion for skiing and climbing brought me to Austria. Since 20 years I’m living in Bad Goisern  in Austria, where I work  as an outdoor specialist in the outdoor industry / corporate training- and events. 

 

My search was and still is to look for the diversity and challenges within the outdoors. Through my education as a Canyoning Guide- and educator, Staatlich Geprüfter Ski Instructor and Ski Guide I got the possibility to start working for the company called Outdoor Leadership. At Outdoor Leadership I found the opportunity to combine all the things I like best, working outside with a wide range of outdoors activities. 

 

I  now live 12 months a year from Outdoor, with a high focus and big passion for guiding, training and educating people. Through time I developed my skills, increased my knowledge and view on Outdoor, Nature and Teamtraining. Next to that I also like to work with my hands, especially with wood, it’s my favorite material to work with!

A summary of my work; 

Managing and guiding for a Skischool in winter,  mountain guiding and training Canyoning instructors in summer, organizing and managing events, seminars and teambuilding programs, doing ropes access works, timber works, safety set-ups for film recordings in mountain areas. 

 

Learning from, training and working with people in all these different areas is the cool part of my job!
